Member Benefits: Membership runs for 1 year. All members receive a free copy of HGSNY's WORKBOOK OF HISPANIC GENEALOGY, the latest copy of our newsletter, a CD-ROM with helpful forms, tools, articles, links and starter software, along with a membership card with special entitlements for $20.00 per year.

During the course of the year, members receive quarterly issues of our multi award winning newsletter, “NUESTRA HERENCIA”, and also quarterly issues of “HGSNY Events”, a 2 page newsletter with news and pictures of the society activities. Members also receive invitations to meetings, events, genealogy workshops and agendas for membership meetings held 4 times a year.

Services: HGSNY conducts free beginner workshops, discounted conferences for members. Free query publication on our web site as well as our newsletter. Free assistance at recognized genealogical resource centers.

Special Awards and Recognition:

HGSNY's Newsletter NUESTRA HERENCIA won first prize in the National Genealogical Society's 2001 Newsletter Competition and Honorable Recognition for 2000, 2003 and 2004.

NUESTRA HERENCIA also won first prize in the Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library’s Family Tree Newsletter Contest, this June/July 2004.

HGSNY was the first Hispanic Genealogy group to establish itself on the internet in 1996.
